TaylorMade Superquad r7 Driver, the quick fix
TaylorMade Superquad r7® is the best driver on the market to help your slice, or trajectory, or whatever your problem is. The golf world is full of tech geeks, and they are crazy for the superior technology of the TaylorMade Superquad r7®. Earlier models only offered three weights to adjust the trajectory of your shots, but now the 400cc driver has four adjustable weights. This technology gives golfers unsurpassed options when it comes to adjusting where you hit the ball.
Pros and average golfers alike prefer the TAYLORMADE R7 over all other drivers. The new Superquad Tour Preferred 460 cc has a beautiful black head with a gorgeous shiny finish. Your driver has to look good as well as feel good for you to hit your best drives ever. The open face looks great at address, and also gives pros and hackers alike the look that you can hammer this club without worrying about losing it left. The open face gives you the feeling that you can launch it high and let it fly with confidence that you can’t get in any other driver.
The unsurpassed TaylorMade technology built into the head is the key to how great this club performs. For the first time, this driver gives you the ability to contour your drives on the course, (so most of us can turn that slice into a beautiful draw).
Ever since the introduction of the Adjustable Weight Technology seven years ago, The TaylorMade line of adjustable drivers have been incredibly popular with pros and hackers alike. The new Superquad TP (Tour Preferred) 460cc head has a beautiful black finish. It sets up nicely to the eye, unlike some of the newer drivers on the market. The Superquad r7, because of its slightly open face, gives the visual impression that it is easy to hit, and easy to get up in the air. The overall impression, as you stand over the ball, is that you can really nail this club, without the fear of going left. The number one answer given by testers was, this look gives me confidence.
The engineering in the head itself is the key benefit to this club. It gives you the ability to contour your shots on the course before you ever tee off. The R7 Superquad comes with six weights in different sizes. These weights are used to regulate your ball flight, fade or draw, high or low. You can get additional weights on line or at your local golf shop. These adjustable weights, combined with the elevated center of gravity in the club make working the ball very easy.
The first thing I noticed on the driving range was like a lot of the new drivers, the TaylorMade does not have a goofy looking head. You have to like the way it looks for any club to work for you. I tried a few shots with the factory settings and soon I was really killing it. I was fading it about 5 yards which is normal for me. I was getting a lot of hang time, and realized that I was hitting it further than my Nike. But I want to lose my slice! So I adjusted the weights, putting a medium weight in the heel, and then I started hitting a slight draw. Once I took it on the course I knew I was right about the extra distance I was getting. With a little draw, I hit this one around 300 yards. I used to only get around 275 with my Nike or Titleist. And, no slice!
This is really one incredible club. As always there are golfers who ask “what’s the catch?” Not much except the original $700 price tag. Once you take it on the course it isn’t legal to move the weights around during your round. I just leave mine set to a little hook unless I’m going to play a super tight course. Then I just set it to a slight fade, and it only costs me about 10 yards. Ninety five percent of the time I don’t have to change a thing. The TaylorMade Superquad r7® is a great driver to fix whatever ails your game!
